Hello
This is me:
In 2009 I graduated from Falmouth University with a 2:1 in Graphic Design. My final project was an Investigation into blended learning using technology in the classroom for 8-10 year olds. I left feeling disillusioned with the design industry and saw it as unashamedly manipulating people into consuming using psychological tools. I have since come to the conclusion that not only are people able to make their own decisions, but that there a lot of worthy brands and causes that need good design in this over saturated world of consumerism.

I have a fascination in how we interact and communicate as human beings through visual language and the importance and influence of Media, especially in this information age.
In an attempt to fulfil my need to ‘change the world’ I spent my time after University studying for a Diploma in counselling and advice & guidance, alongside being employed as a learning support assistant, providing support to individuals with significant identified needs within a college framework. Identifying personal needs, I used my initiative to promote and develop independence. This was primarily in the fields of Media, Design and Photography, which also gave me the opportunity to tutor in these subjects.
For the last 3 years I have been working from home as a self-employed freelance Graphic Designer, Artist and Crafts-person. Most of my work is Branding, Logo Design, Bespoke Artwork, Packaging, and web design for local businesses. I am a problem solver at heart and will not stop until a problem placed before me is solved. I also love to play and experiment with my own ideas.
